Parfums de Marly Akaster (2015) – a discontinued masterpiece, and nearly impossible to find outside the Middle East.
Originally released as part of a black-bottled masculine series in 2013 and again in 2015, Akaster was produced in very limited quantities and distributed almost exclusively to the Middle Eastern market. With its name boldly printed on the front—unlike global PDM releases—this version was never officially offered in Western markets, making it a true collector’s treasure.
Inspired by the noble horse Ancaster (born 1768), Akaster opens with sharp lemon and cypriol, revealing a rich heart of Bulgarian rose and geranium. A bold oud note adds mystery and depth, drying down into something unexpectedly refined. From afar, you get the rose. Up close, it’s all oud. If you love rose/oud blends with an edge, this is one to own.
