Impressive Large Vintage Handcrafted Wooden Model Sailing Yacht / Sailboat with Display Stand
Beautiful oversized vintage wooden sailing yacht model featuring an exceptionally detailed wood hull and deck, fabric sails, extensive rigging and numerous individually crafted deck fittings.
This is a substantial display piece measuring approximately 45 inches long with an overall height of approximately 61 inches to the top of the mast. It sits on its original-style wooden display stand/base.
The model has wonderful aged character and appears to have been individually constructed rather than being a simple modern molded decorative piece. Details include a planked wood deck, painted hull, wood mast and spars, fabric sails, rope rigging, coiled lines, deck cleats/fittings, raised deck structures and other miniature nautical details.
Approximate measurements:
• Length: 45"
• Overall height: approximately 61"
• Hull/deck width: approximately 10" at the measured area
• Includes wooden display stand
Condition: This is a vintage piece and shows considerable age and wear. The sails have discoloration, staining, fraying and age-related deterioration. Some rigging is loose, broken, missing or may need to be restrung. The wood has scratches, finish wear, small marks and other signs of age. There may also be small fittings or components missing. Please review all photographs closely, as they are an important part of the condition description.
I have intentionally not restored or refinished the model, so the buyer can decide whether to preserve its current aged appearance or undertake restoration.
I have not located a maker's mark or positively identified the specific yacht represented, so it is being sold as an unidentified vintage handcrafted wooden sailing yacht model.
An impressive nautical display piece and an interesting candidate for restoration. Great for a maritime collection, nautical décor, sailing enthusiast, yacht club, restaurant, office or coastal home.
Due to its size, age and delicate rigging, local pickup is strongly preferred. Please feel free to inspect it in person.
